The Riveter Studio is run by a small group of writers, filmmakers, and producers who’ve spent years working in documentary, independent film, and long-form storytelling.
We’ve produced award-winning doc series, shot for both big and small screens, and written the kinds of stories that don’t always fit neatly on a development slate—but stay with people anyway. We’ve done the late-night edits, the shoestring shoots, and the “make it work” passes that independent artists know by heart.
We also know how hard it is for individual storytellers to get their work seen without giving up control, chasing impossible budgets, or waiting for someone else to say “yes.”
Why we built this
The Riveter Studio exists to give those stories another way through.
Our focus is simple: Take powerful short-form writing and turn it into cinematic shorts—pieces that feel honest, lived-in, and grounded in real human experience.
We understand the challenges independent artists face because we’ve lived them: patchwork income, limited access, and the quiet fear that your voice will never break through the noise.
In this early phase, we’re keeping production free for Authors and running the studio lean, using every tool at our disposal (including AI where it genuinely helps) to keep quality high and overhead low.
